The quicksand of excuses is what impede our forward motion. We put the rock of unlimited blames on our dearest fathers who are there minding their own businesses of running a political office without loss . Our thriller is always better than the movie itself; they give us barrels of orange colour lies at campaigns and deliver blackcurrant to us.
We should actually sit about it and draw it out on a round table with rectangular legs.
Let’s get it drawn out from the genesis. We embark on journeys without counting our costs and we either get stranded halfway or finish with sacks of regrets.
The peaceful dwelling place where life was full of fun and absolute excitement was hit with decadence in it’s least state. In a jiffy, the peace of the land became cancerous and it’s wholeness became what we see in our sweet dreams. Hmmm…
What else should we call this?
We coat the name with cubes of sugar but the content remains the bitter kola it has always been. Correctional center or gaol? I think the later is what it is.
Unto whom brain has been given, the power of reasoning is expected to bear good and enduring fruits.

It does not look good on us neither is there anything to celebrate in it, when the lovers and doers of social vices are as fearless as a pack leader- the alpha male itself. And the ones doing what is right and lawful are fearful.

I look around the streets with the intention of counting who and what we have left as a nation. The sight of people, young and old abusing substances met me in terrifying colours.
I am bewildered if the knowledge of its danger is absent or the pleasure derived produces more blessings than the evil created by the danger.
When a car begins to require the anointing of palms and laying of hands, it is no news that such a vehicle needs help. But it is very expedient that it is tapped into life because it is not to be pushed but push us to our destinations.
A joke is almost synonymous with what we call a way out of insecurity. Is it not laughable when mechanical, human and monetary resources are in great enmity with the security unit of the nation. We really need help!

The city whose walls are broken down will definitely become an easy prey to diverse attacks from it’s enemies.
We have wailed and still wailing in our land of birth. We have searched and still searching for hope in our land.
Truth is deserted, helpless and has gotten an apartment on the top of the list of threatened species. It is just as good as an archaic culture that neither ethnography nor ethnoarchaeology can rescue. Almost everyone exalts lies above truth; nobody wants the truth in black and white but coloured and spiced and sharing the same outfit with falsehood.
We do more of comedy than seriousness in this nation. We allow vital issues to lie helplessly in the ward while trivialities occupy the whole Intensive Care Unit without apologies. Important things are given no space to breathe.
Culture is dynamic, fine! But I believe its dynamism should be positive, meaning it should become better day after day. Acculturation should not even take a particular culture a metre backwards, rather progress should be its goal.
Whenever a situation is beyond crying about, laughter is what is needed and probably shaking of head either in disapproval or disappointment. A sigh of relief or some water will also do, refreshing the mind.
When bewilderment bullies the bosses, what shall the followers do but to dance to the beats of disarray?
Confusion besets the bosses like dysentery. Hmmm, the matter seems never to befriend a way out since what matters does not matter to them. Unrequested death and abductions matter less than the fight for the next elections. Lawlessness and terrorism are no issues to deal with seriously as politics weighs better.
