Earlier in the week AASA PRESS, sent out broadcast for students in the department to send in their thoughts on how they view humanity.
We got two responses which are worth sharing with you.
God’s Power, 300level.
“You cant exist as human being in isolation. At some point, humans need each other irrespective of religion or anything .we re who we re through other people we depend on connection caring and community .we need love and understanding to grow .remember “I am who I am because of who we are” lets embrace UBUNTU”
Michael, 300 level.
“I see human as the most complex being God created. Human seems to be the most complex and difficult being to deal with because we’re fill of moods and emotions. If we’re happy today, the next few minutes or next few days we might be sad. If we’re good today, next few days we might be bad. The good done to someone might be a bad to someone else. So they are very hard to deal with. Human behaviours varies from one point to the other. What is done here, you might try to do it elsewhere and do the opposite . In the process of achieving humanity, humans might end up stepping on some toes by offending the wrong person. By trying to be good to a particular person, I might end up hurting someone else. The good I’ve done to someone can be something bad to someone else. When it comes to humanity, we’re yet to get a balance. Everyone wants to be good but at the same time we make mistakes.”
